MR Code is a sister company of MR Coils, which is a spin-off company of the University Medical Center Utrecht in the Netherlands. They are specialised in designing and making innovative MR Coils. MR Code performs simulations for these coils and other systems, to make sure everything is safe and the coils work as efficient as possible.
STARLIT (System Technologies for Adaptive real-time MR image-guided therapies) will develop technologies in radiation oncology to improve the quality of life for cancer survivors. MR Code is working on efficiently processing 4D MR data for real-time feedback.
The INSPiRE-MED consortium provides research and training opportunity to 15 researchers in the field of Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS), MRS Imaging (MRSI) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) enhanced through machine learning techniques. Within this consortium MR Code, together with MR Coils, will work on fast, online processing methods for MRS and MRSI, motion robust MRS, and x-nuclei MRS(I) for a dedicated metabolic 7T scanner.

Personalised care is slowly replacing standardised care for many treatments. However, this requires a direct way to image treatment efficacy through sensitive biomarkers with rapidly expressing indicators. Metabolic changes can provide this information, which can be obtained using Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopic Imaging (MRSI): a non-invasive imaging technique for direct detection of endogenous metabolites. Within this consortium, a new type of 7T scanner, dedicated to metabolic imaging of multiple nuclei, is developed. The role of MR Code is to develop software in order to merge anatomical and metabolic information, accelerate acquisition, reconstruction, and post-processing, and merge research projects into easy-to-use pipelines for non-expert usage.
